Outside opening hours, the space is available to hire. And for readers of Chinese-language books, we offer memberships built specifically around them, with member pricing, as well as a second-hand book borrowing service.

8lithèque is an independent bookshop, specialty coffee shop and cultural space in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, a few streets from the Institut Giacometti, the Montparnasse cemetery and Beauvoir's former home.
We work with contemporary Asian literature and art, with particular attention to emerging Sinophone writers, artists and independent publishers. A curated selection of literature, art and photography books sits alongside coffee, objects for everyday use, and a programme of exhibitions, screenings, conversations and workshops.
